CS13/ ALABAMA STATE SEAL BUCKLE
$ No reasonable offer refused
This just dug Alabama State Seal
is as rare as they come. As you can see it has the very distinct
Map on Tree but has rim damage and a few freeze cracks. Has a
nice chocolate patina. The lead back remains intact with the
belt keeper present but missing the two puppy paw studs. In any
condition this is rare as hen teeth.
I asked the digger where it was
dug, and his answer was, out from under my search coil. (SMART
FELLOW...wouldn't you say.) I do know he's in a camp and
apparently it ain't hunted out. With just a little effort this
one can be repaired and made to display very nice and possibly
be worth around $8500.00! |

This is where all my time has been spent ever
since we made the move from the Bell Buckle, TN. store. Lots of
hard work and help from my friends has made this possible. We
will seat 50 people in this gift store converted to a
restaurant. This has always been something Wilma enjoyed doing,
cooking and serving good food to folks. We have combined our two
shops into a small if I might say, Cracker Barrel style gift
store and Diner. I will still have plenty of Civil War items for
sale in the shop and displayed like a museum setting. We plan
for Aug. 30th. to be open!

Drum, Sling and Sticks
$595.00
This Indian War era drum is in
great condition other than a couple small cracks in the head but
still carries a tune there somewhere. It measures 16" wide and
12" deep. Has an original pair of period sticks and a period
sling. The sling has torn loose from the leather part that hooks
to the drum but has been glued back in place by some
High Impact Kryptonite, Plutonium Space
Age Glue... I personally glued it back and is very strong
and sturdy. If you would like to have a tube of this glue you
can find it at the dollar store and is called Elmer's glue! LOL,
No lie it is very sturdy and will never fall apart again.

FA42JH/ M1859 Sharps &
Hankins Carbine
$845.00PRICE
REDUCED $775.00
Sharps &
Hankins Navy Model 1862....52 cal. with leather cover missing.
Great action but the trigger mechanism that releases the lever
to open breech has broke but still can easily be released to
open up barrel. The metal is smooth with very minor pitting. The
wood stock has nice aged luster. The elevation rear site works
great. The serial # 7849 is all matching and very clear. Has
brass butt plate that is somewhat different that what I see in
the catalogs.
This is a very tight Carbine and
displays great. The stock is a very old replacement that was
converted by using the butt stock of an old Kentucky rifle. This
may have been an old field repair...who knows some Yankee fell
of his horse and broke the stock and a Confederate soldier
picked it up and made this serviceable again for the South. Just
a thought ?

$365.00
Price
Reduced $325.00
This is an early pick-up that is
truly very hard to find rather it be in relic condition or in fine
condition. The J.E. Bleckmann maker marked sword of Solingen
Prussia were very few numbers had made it to the U.S. for Civil
War use. This one here is in great relic condition and has I've
been there and witnessed first hand close up blade to blade
contact by the numbers of nicks in the blade. This was picked up
in Northern Alabama years ago. |

mi194DS/ Early Battlefield Pick-up
" COLT REVOLVING RIFLE"
$700.00***LAYAWAY***
This is truly a rare find
right here. I could look up a lot of stuff on the world wide web
to add to the story of this unique item...but...anyway this was
found in McMinnville, TN. in an old house and was obviously an
early pick-up. This was apparently destroyed to keep it out of
the enemies possession. Along with the rifle there were several
.56 Colt Rev. Rifle bullets found while metal detecting the
property, some drops and some fired. This was most likely lost
by a Michigan Soldier while camped in the McMinnville area. And
how many of these have you seen in relic condition? |

(EGG PLATE) THICK CAST
$2500.00
Here's one you just want see but
once in a blue moon. This is only the second one like it I've

you'll ever see. It weighs 1.4 oz and has a beautiful green
patina with a little confederate dirt still remaining from the
51st. Alabama "Mounted Infantry" Camp in Midland, Tennessee. The
telegraph wire attachment wire has decade but is not uncommon on
these plates. This plate has no repair and will be hard to find
another egg in this superb condition. This was dug by
Tommy Philpot and will be featured in the February issue of the
American Digger Magazine.

CS4/ Louisiana Militia
Shoulder Belt Plate, ca. 1858-1900
$725.00
Beautiful
and full of the original gilt remaining on this Louisiana
Militia shoulder belt plate. This is plate 724 in the American
Military Belt Plates / Michael J. O'Donnell & J. Duncan Campbell
reference book. Dimensions are 53 x 69 mm and is gilt die struck
rolled brass with two loops soldered on the back.
Remarks: Because this is a very
common plate, and the original die is dated 1858, a number
should have a Civil War provenance. However, most examples
clearly date from the post war period. They were advertized in a
turn of the century military supply catalogue. This one is
absolutely original and has been inspected by myself and a
couple of other very intelligent individuals! |

"Rare"
Texas Bridle Rosette
$ 850.00
This rare Texas Rosette was excavated early this
year in West Memphis and was found in a Texas Cavalry Camp. It
is constructed of solid stamped brass and has the beveled Texas
Star. It also would have had a silver leaving around the star
but has long ago deteriated. This rosette measures 2 1/4".
There are still remnants of the soldered on attachment bar on
the back but bar is missing. There is no damage or repairs to
this piece. The location and diggers name will be given to the
new owner. |
